1. Filtering

you have 2 ways to use the filtering option in the spreadsheet.

or .

Temporary Filter:

  1. in the Main sheet you should select All the cells (Control + A / Command + A)

  2. Click on this button which says "Create a Filter" (at any time if you wanted to close the filtering, click on this again which says remove the filter)

  3. Now your sheet should looks like this (it should have those arrows on each column)

  4. Let's click on that button for the symbol column. you see these options. Under the Filter by values options you can see all the data that this column has which is our symbols.

If you unselect those values/symbols and only put the checkmark for the ones that you like (let's say here we have unchecked all the symbols but BITCOIN) you will have a filter for only those value.

  5. Now here you see that we have filtered the whole sheet based on the BITCOIN trades. beautiful.

You can use this trick to filter based on whatever you like. for example you can click on the "position" column and filter based on only Long trade or Short trades. you can select the "Did you trail your stoploss" column and only see the trades that have the "Y" or "N" value.

  6. after your job was done and you wanted to exit the filtering, click on that filter button again at the top of the page on the menu bar which it says remove the filter.

Create a filter view:

  1. Now that you've got to know how to use the filtering option. from this way we can create a filter view and save it so we can use it later more easily.

  2. After you have selected all the cells, you should click on the "create new filter view" on the dropdown menu of the filter fuction.

  3. Now here in addition to those filter arrows that we had in the last step we have this new bar which requires a Name from you for this filter view.

  4. like the last step we click on those arrows and make the filtering that we want and then we give it a name. for example here we have filtered based on bitcoin symbol and we gave it a bitcoin name for that filter view.

  5. Now When you go to the dropdown menu of the filter fuction you have this new filter view

  6. So now you can easily change between None (which it doesn't show any filtering) and Bitcoin view. (which shows only the bitcoin trades)

Just like that you can explore and make new Filter views and do more deeper analysis on your trades and just filter based on whatever you like.

Another Useful example of Filtering

Let's say you want to do analysis on the MFE/MAE of your setup named A.

in the MAE/MFE page there is no chart for mae/mfe based on setups. it only has mae/mfe for all the traders and winners and losers.

So now here in the mainsheet you can filter the page Based on setup A so you see only the trades that you took with setup A... now you can do analysis on the mfe/mae of this setup! :)
